清光緒 秋葵綠豆四件及青花夔龍紋秋葵綠籩一件
《陶氏家祠禮器子孫世守光緒壬寅年造》款
及《光緒壬午年齋谷山人造》款

comprising four lime green glaze tazzas inscribed with characters reading: Taoshi jiasi liqi zisun shishou Guangxu renyin nianzao, corresponding to 1902;
and a lime green glazed stem bowl and cover painted with archaistic blue and white dragons on the foot, inside the footrim inscribed with blue and white mark reading: Guangxu renwunian qigushanren zao, corresponding to 1882.

Catalogue Note:
The inscription on four stem dishes may be translated as ' ancestral shrine of Taoshi commissioned this ritual vessel for descents in the year of Renyin in the Guangxu's reign'. Taoshi may refer to Duan Fang (1861-1911), a high-rank government official, an important reformer, and a notable collector-connoisseur of Chinese antiquities during the late Qing dynasty.

Zhaigu Shanren may refer to an artist and official, Hui Nian (active in the late Qing dynasty), also known as his scholar name, Lingfang, who also commissioned a number of inksticks from the notable inkmaker Hu Kaiwen during Guangxu period.

陶氏即端方(1861—1911),托忒克氏,字午橋,號匋齋,滿洲正白旗人。官至直隸總督,清末政治家、金石學家、收藏家。

齋谷山人即清末畫家惠年,號菱舫,生卒不詳,活躍於光緒年間,官至浙江鹽運使,亦曾於安徽胡開文處定製齋古山人墨。
