Rare four part black lacquered inro with a design of two woman hidding with their face behind a mica fan which showes the face of an old monk in raised gold and silver makie-lacquer with some red. The reverse shows a carrying chair crowned with a phoenix. The inro, signed: Shūsai, is closed by an orange geometrical ojime-bead and its cord end. In a box. Netsuke: 5 cm.
