François Louis Thomas Francia, French 1772-1839- Hay barge at Chiswick; watercolour heightened with white on paper, 14.5 x 22.5 cm, (unframed). Provenance: Private Collection, UK. Note: Francia was a French-born painter who worked in London for much of his life, serving as a Member and Secretary of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours. He is perhaps best known as the tutor of Richard Parkes Bonnington (1802-1828).
