interesting snap hook, modified flintlock system with percussion, cannon hallmarked by the Manufacture de Saint Etienne (Augustin MERLEY - period 1797 to 1809) and signed by the gunner J. Picotin (late 18th century - early 19th century) , with civil modifications (wood and shortened barrel - mouthpiece modification) . good mechanical operation, 2 well synchronized positions and good percussion - modified flintlock with percussion - wood in beautiful waxed / oiled walnut (unvarnished) , in its patina, remained solid and rather in good condition. - barrel with thunder, with its signs of use and time, but remained in good and good condition - with visibly posterior wooden strip - small lack in the breech tail attachment (see photo) , but no play in the barrel attachment old shortened carabiner, over 200 years old, with signs of time and use, but still in good condition and in good working order (see photos forming part of the description) .
