France - 1830/1850 - Imposant rare revolver à broche d'Officier supérieur six coups - calibre 12 mm - EUGENE LEFAUCHEUX - - Revolver

Imposing superior officer's pinfire revolver six rounds of 12 mm EUGENE LEFAUCHEUX signed ‘Fd Claudin breveté, Boulevard des Italiens 38 Paris’. Revolver intended for the famous FERDINAND CLAUDIN armoury in PARIS. Inscription with all the markings and hallmarks are very clear. The barrel chambers and rifling marks are in absolutely new/mint condition. In very good working order. Good percussion, with a good trigger return, the hammer stays cocked in both positions, the grip plates are very beautiful. Revolver with a very good finish, nothing to do with some other revolvers. Very nice butt: walnut burr type, with no defects. The air gap allows the space of a sheet. (Ideal width.) Hallmark from the bench test of Liège: ‘ELG’ in an oval, valid from 20th February 1811 to 11th July 1893. ‘C’ crown inspector x 2 Number: 175565 ‘ELG’ hallmark. ‘EL’ hallmark x 2 Weight: approx. 800 g Barrel length: 11. 5 cm Total length: 25 cm VERY RARE AND BEAUTIFUL PIECE Greatly esteemed by collectors and shooting enthusiasts.
