Superb and very interesting large defence pistol, heavy barrel, percussion system (1840s/50s) , 14 mm calibre at the muzzle, deluxe model that is finely gridded and engraved. It works well mechanically, with two well-synchronised notches and clear percussion - (the weapon is still strong with a solid spring) - solid and heavy octagonal barrel, thickness over 4 mm, numbered and hallmarked on the thunder. - weapon mounted with finely engraved nickel silver trims. - finely gridded and lovely light walnut mount - with a thumb piece. - with its metal rod. - lock and hammer (shortened - see photos) with a flat body that was later finely engraved. Lovely defence pistol, large model, King Louis Philippe, in its patina, with its scratches, marks and signs of ageing and use but still in very nice condition and good mechanical condition.
