Infantry rifle 1822 T bis: Total length: 1421 mm Barrel length: 1029 mm Weight when empty: 4. 080 kg Calibre: 18 mm Single registration weapon initially numbered 5583, then 1120 during the conversion to T bis. Metal parts: all the markings are clearly legible, no oxidation spots. Markings: ‘Mle 1822 T bis’ on the breech tail, ‘Mre Royale de Saint Etienne’ on the lock, ‘C de 18’ on the left side of the bolt, ‘1850’ and ‘MR’ (Manufacture Royale) on the right side, ‘St Etienne’ on the butt. Mechanism in perfect working order, complete, 3 good notches, cocked, half-cocked and locked, no play. Round grooved barrel, very distinct grooves. Wood in good original condition with multiple markings. The rifle looks beautiful. I am also selling a perfectly compatible 1822 type bayonet (see my other sales) .
