Beautiful, rare Lefaucheux pinfire revolver, 7 mm calibre, in good condition. 6-shot barrel capacity. Works in single and double action. Metal parts with original nickel plating. Fine interlacing engravings on the cylinder, body and barrel. Gridded butt plates. Barrel with octagonal interior (rare) . Good operation, good locking, powerful spring! The marking ‘E. LEFAUCHEUX INV BREVETE’ on the left bolt is undoubtedly the confirmation that this weapon comes from the E. LEFAUCHEUX weapons factory located in LIEGE, No. 13 quai de Fragnée, from 1867 to 1873. No. 256234 on the left side of the body is the serial number. ‘EL’ crown 67: marking on Lefaucheux weapons from Liege. (it can be assumed that 67 is the year of manufacture) Numbered on the cylinder. The other markings are from the Liège proof house, namely: ‘ELG’ above a star inside an oval: definitive acceptance, in use from 1846 to 1893 ‘Y’ under a crown: inspector’s countermark, in use from 1853 to 1877 (the pictures were taken with bright light and a quality camera, which brings out the defects, but in reality it is much more subtle) . Perfect for collectors or enthusiasts for shooting old weapons with a beautiful history.
