Rare letter sent from Paris to Cairo via Alexandria on February 22, 1855 with numbers 14A & 17A canceled with the Gros Dots Square Stamp
Arrival in Alexandria on March 7, 1855 then this letter continued its journey towards Cairo with the means at hand, probably up the Nile because there was no railway at that time (not before the fall 1856)
Really rare at this time!
