Lovely regulatory cavalry carbine, 1874 model converted 80 (exhaust emission safety) , made by Manufacture de St Etienne in 1877. It works well mechanically with clear percussion. - barrel with grooves that are still visible, in its original tanning which is faded in places, signs of wear, ageing and old black powder corrosion, but still in nice condition. - with its sight which slightly leans to the right. - with its metal rod. - wood with small lacks (mainly the top of the recoil pad, see photos) , scratches and a small insignificant scratch (middle left side under the barrel) , old small repair to the front of the breech (right side - two tips) , oiled/waxed (the wood is not varnished) . - brass fittings. - with its old leather shoulder strap. - number of the breech is different (converted weapon M80) . Old regulatory carbine, nearly 150 years old, with its marks, scratches, bumps and signs of wear (take a good look at the photos which are part of the description) but still in good aesthetic and working condition.
