Pair of double-barrelled flintlock hunting pistols, made by Pierre Bouiller, gunsmith in Montluçon around 1750 (Louis XV-era) . All 4 flintlock mechanisms work perfectly. The fittings (stocks, trigger guards and ramrod holders) are made of sterling silver (hallmark on the trigger guard) . The decorations on the barrels are made of gold. The walnut wood butts are in perfect condition and finely carved. This magnificent pair of pistols must have belonged to a high-ranking individual.
