Rare, remarkable and very large officer’s flintlock pistol from the late eighteenth century in beautiful condition. Superb and large senior officer’s weapon, featuring a smooth body. The lock plate is nicely decorated with foliate scrollwork decorations, as is the trigger guard. The wood is in good condition with a well-gridded butt ending with a flange underlined by a metal piece. It is worth noting a light jointure, most likely restored in the nineteenth century. The crowned ‘W’ marking is clearly visible on the lock. This weapon works perfectly, with powerful springs.
