The surface has been cleaned. Polished white moving pieces. Frame and barrel have a tobacco-coloured tanning. Double and single action. Sight, extractor rod are included. Hammer spring included, clear percussion. Finger lift is included, cylinder rotation is active. Trigger spring returns automatically. The butt is clean, black and smooth (there is a crack on the right side, see photo) . Marking: On the cylinder: THE GUARDIAN AMERICAN MODEL OF 1878, marque déposée par la société FAGNUS - A. & CLEMENT, rue Chéri à Liège 12. 1880. Number 1 engraved on all parts. ‘MJ’ gate (inspector?) Starred ‘U’ = before January 1897, on the barrel and cylinder. ‘ELG’ in an oval = Liege test bench, before 1893. ‘AM’ under the butt and ‘JD’ cocking hammer (subcontractor?) Mechanism and surface oiled for protection. To be stored in a dry place, less than 50% humidity. Shipped with anti-moisture pouch. The photos are part of the description.
