Magnificent pair of percussion pistols in exceptional condition. Dating from around 1830, this pair bears the Liège bench mark but also with, on the carcass: "R 16" with the crowned R. The plates are richly chiseled with floral volutes. The two chimneys surrounded by a flyweight are wear-free. The well rifled barrels are in very good condition on the outside but also on the inside. The percussions of the two weapons are powerful and hold the 2 notches. Finally, the sticks, in beak corbin and in ebony have a housing for the groundbaits at the level of the grip caps. This superb pair of pistols, with its refined finishes, must have belonged to a high personality of the 19th century bourgeoisie.
