SUPERB officer’s gun (‘twisted barrel’) - July monarchy, 1830, in exceptional condition This exceptional weapon is in good condition: - Barrel designed according to the ‘twisted barrel’ method (a sign of excellent manufacturing) with faceted sides presents remnants of inlaid gold lettering on top; it is in remarkable condition externally and also well grooved. - The lock works perfectly; the counter-lock is known as the ‘moustache’. - The wood is in new condition with its superb chiselled butt ending at the butttcap with a rounded chiselled piece. - The original rod, in place at the level of the remarkable ramrod fitting, superbly crafted. - The trigger guard is finely chiselled and extends with its tip on the wood towards the barrel.
