Percussion cavalry pistol, year XIII model, converted to 1822 T bis, barrel, hallmarked with several figures, numbered ‘E 344291’. Breech tail marked: ‘1822’, overprinted: ‘T bis’ The lock hallmarked: ‘H’ crowned and signed: ‘Mr. Rle de Mutzig’ Brass fittings hallmarked ‘D, C, H’ with crown Trigger guard hallmarked ‘L’ with crown Walnut butt bearing several markings and numbers 291 as well as: ‘MUTZIG’. First Empire to Second Republic eras. In very good condition given its age, especially the butt! The 1822 TBis model pistol was the standard weapon of the French cavalry around 1860. This 1822 TBis model pistol is visually and technically in very good condition. Overall a beautiful and very decorative weapon. In working order, powerful spring, cap in very good condition!
