These revolvers were used by the Carabinieri (Italian Police) The official name for this revolver is 'pistola a rotazione da carabinieri reali modello 1861' (model 1861 royal police revolver.) They were used between 1861 and 1874. The caliber is 12mm pinfire. This revolver is in a nice and well-working condition. The springs are strong and the cylinder rotates neatly. The handles are also good. The total length is 25 cm and the barrel length is 12 cm. This revolver was made by Lefaucheux on behalf of the Italian government.
