758 bis - Very nice officer's percussion pistol, circa 1840 (19th century) Octagonal barrel with large grooves. - Gridded walnut butt, beautiful patina. Lock and hammer engraved with foliate scrollwork. (1 screw not original underneath the trigger guard) Trigger under trigger guard, finely chiselled steel parts, ramrod not original. Scallop shell buttcap with primer compartment. . *2-notched loading and clear percussion. 18 mm calibre with round forced bullet. All the markings are present.
