Navy pistol model 1837, first type: Calibre: 15. 2 mm Barrel length: 152 mm Pistol length: 295 mm Grooves: none Weight when empty: 725 g First model of converted pistol, without butt loop, with curved rod sides and reduced rod head. A belt hook is there. Markings: ‘M’ on the butt cap for Modified, no navy anchor, ‘Mle 1837’ on the breech tail, ‘Mre Rle de Chatellereaut’. The pistols manufactured in Chatellerault have no manufacturing year. The wood is in good condition, no bumps, no lacks but it is dented on the breech tail (small dent on both sides) .
