France - Defence Pocket - Flintlock - 11mm cal

Lovely flintlock travel pistol, made in France towards the late 18th century. Functional lock, with 1 loaded position and dry percussion (see photos of the dismantled weapon) , battery works well. - beautiful carved walnut frame, finely engraved iron trim, with small marks and signs of wear due to its age, in its patina, a small insignificant crack under the lock (see photos) but still sturdy and in good condition. - finely engraved barrel with flat sides on the thunder then rounded at the end, 11 mm calibre out the mouth. - very light play on the trigger guard of this almost 200 year old weapon, around 2/10 mm, not serious. complete, with nail head rod in centred position, with signs and marks from wear but perfectly functional.
