For the flintlock (Max. length: 42. 5 cm circa 1700 to 1730, very good mechanism, very firm spring) A beautiful model with round barrel and sides on the thunder, finely crafted brass trimmings, decorated with figures in profile in medallions of grimacing mascarons, flames, foliage scrolls and hunting or war symbols on the locks (bow, quiver and intersecting arrows) . Please note, I am not a connoisseur of this equipment so please take a good look at the photographs. -------------------- Length: 245 mm Marking: Charleville Manufacture Imperial The marking Manufacture Nationale was used until the end of 1805 when it took the name “Impériale”. The Gendarmerie pistol Mle An IX was only made in Maubeuge between year X and 1819. Around 32,000 pairs were made during this period. GENDARMERIE PISTOL Mle An IX converted to percussion circa 1820 at MANUFACTURE DE Charleville. The metallic parts have a black patina with small stains, the barrel has a dark homogeneous patina along its entire length. The lock was converted to percussion, it was marked by the Manufacture Impériale de CHARLEVILLE, the mechanism is good, the hammer does not hit the chimney in the right place. The barrel is 129 mm long with short sides at the beginning and then round, the manufacture year on the breech tail is clearly visible, the markings on the thunder were covered by the chimney which was added on, the interior is oxidised but clear. The WALNUT wood has a very nice patina, it has handling marks in places, the butt was PARTLY RESTORED. The photos are close-up which implies that there are some defects that you cannot see with the naked eye TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE PHOTOS - EACH ONE COMES WITH ITS POWDER FLASK.
