Light cavalry officer’s sabre, model an IX, an XI: Total length: 102 cm, blade: 81 cm, arrow: 5. 4 cm, width at the heel: 3 cm Sabre used by hunters on horseback, hussars, lancers, and light artillery. Single-branch guard: 2 branches removed during restoration (regulatory modification) Grip covered with sheepskin, with filigree. Brass mount, long-tailed cap, single-branch guard, 2 ears. Curved quillon. White curved blade with hollow side, a third engraved with trophies and naturalistic elements, marked "K & S" on the heel (Kirschbaum Schimmelbusch & Cie, 1804 -1816 in Solingen) . Iron sheath with two iron rings. No play in the guard or grip. Lovely blade with remains of gilding. Please see the photos, I will happily answer your questions. Good luck in the auction.
