France - Luxe à canon dévissant - réserve amorces - à coffre à balle forcée - Percussion - Pair of Pistols - 11 mm

Superb pair of defence pistols, with chest and forced bullet, manufactured towards the end of the 1st Empire, very early in the July Monarchy, calibre 11 mm. the mechanism on both pistols is fully functional, with loaded and safety positions, very clear percussion. Retractable trigger is perfectly adjusted. - a real pair, numbered 15 and 16 on the barrel, chest and hammer. - barrel that can be unscrewed by hand - Superb butt made of carved walnut, with bronze cap forming a primer chest. - finely engraved metal - the lead bullets shown in the photos are not in the right calibre (10 mm) , the primers are well-calibrated. very nice pair of pistols with the small marks and scratches from wear of objects from the early 19th century, a screw head on the chest is worn, one of the hammers has a small crack (see photos - avoid repeated percussion when empty) but still in a superbly preserved and working condition (see photos) Shipped with insured value and signature required upon delivery.
