Superb pair of half-cavalry pistols for officer, Louis XV era (circa 15) flintlock mechanism in 1760 mm calibre at the muzzle, hallmarked by the Royal Arms Factory on the barrel. Perfect lock operation, with precise 2-notch mechanism and frank percussion Battery is perfectly functional - half-panelled barrel, then round at the end, with signs of wear and handling, but still solid and in good condition - chiselled iron fittings, with traces of use (former gunpowder tarnishing and handling) , but still in good condition - engraved locks, swan-necked hammer without reinforcement, flat body with flash pan detached from the battery (pre-1760) - carved walnut wood butts, with old joining repair at the end of the barrel, small fillings, small lacks, signs of handling and use, but still solid and in a rather beautiful aesthetic condition (see pictures) - with wooden rods Very interesting officer's pistol, close to 300 years, in its patina, solid and with perfect mechanical operation.
