Hello, This pistol is the Model 1822 T of Cavalry built new (very important this detail) It was manufactured at the Imperial Manufactory of Tulle in 1854. Its exact caliber is 17,6mm (and not 18 mm) For a weapon of this period its condition is perfect, all parts are original with an excellent patina. A polished polished weapon is subject to doubts about the complete authenticity of all the pieces. The breech tail is marked Model: 1822 T, the gun to the thunder carries the markings of the year of release: 1854 and MI for Manufacture Impériale. We find the number of attribution in the regiment which is the 1843 visible on the wooden frame side against platinum and on the lower pan of the barrel also side against platinum. All brass fittings are punched. Excellent piece.
