Philippe VI (1328-1350) gold Écu d'Or à la chaise ND (from 1343) AU58 PCGS, Fr-270, Dup-249A. 4.47gm. Second Issue (April 10th, 1343). An emission following the Hundred Years War with only 14 examples found on the PCGS Census. On the obverse, King Philip VI is no longer wearing the royal coat but dawns the hauberk and coat of arms, also replacing the scepter and the fleur-de-lis for a sword and shield of France.
