Pair of French Officer combat pistols, Consulate period 1799/1804 model, transformed into percussion late 1820`s, in case. Round Barrels , with 13 cm long, smooth bore , highly affected by moisture being hardly cleaned,Plain steel garrisons and shinning patine. Plain locks ; Checkered walnut stocks with carved decorations in back of stock and around lock ( same bosses here and there) . Wood rods with steel caps (one with substituted cap and bullet pull over slightly crooked) . Hook belt on side plate. Mechanically perfect in armed and security positions. Proof mark or signature of ST. ETIENNE NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE E. U. AND FINLAND. In a Mahogany case, central scutcheon in brass, not used, with key ( this is not is original case) . Interior lined with velvet, compartmentalized, containing: Apocryphal brass powder flask ; lubrificant bottle, unmarked; apocryphal box, brass, unmarked for fulminant, XIX century steel mold and screwdriver with rosewood handle.
