Mounted officer's sabre of Volunteers - National Guard - called Petit Montmorency: Length of the sabre: 90 cm - blade: 74 cm Revolutionary period post Louis XVI, c. 1790-1795. Leather-covered handle with triple filigree, gilded and chiselled brass frame. Pommel with plumed helmet, long tail cap. Open-shell guard with a "climbing lion.
