Measurements of the painting 73 X 60Cm Excellent condition. He spent a season studying at the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc and La Lonja, in Serra he is eminently self-taught. He began his professional career as a cartoonist for numerous magazines in Granollers, where he has made a name for himself. He exhibited for the first time in the Sala Parés in 1932, where he would return repeatedly throughout his life, together with the Sala Gaspar. In fact, La Parés dedicated an extensive tribute exhibition to him the year of his death. He exhibited in Paris in 1953. He was awarded numerous prizes at a national level and we can find his work at the MNAC and the one in Madrid. Serra's portraits stand out, with preeminence of the female figure in intimate scenes, which has its greatest exponent in those made in a lead mine. Sensual, with perfect execution and warm, high-quality chromaticism, his portraits are a sample of his elegant lines and mastery of technique. He also touched on the theme of landscapes, like the ones he exhibited in Paris.
