Francesco Bosso (Vercelli, 1864 - Turin, 1933) , Still life with flowers, oil on cardboard, 23 x 28 cm, dimensions including the frame 38 x 41. 5 cm, signed "F. Bosso" on the bottom left.
In original contemporary frame in carved and gilded wood.

Originally from Vercelli, Francesco Bosso studied at the Institute of Fine Arts. At the beginning of his artistic career he dedicated himself to decoration and scenography, carrying out works in palaces, churches and theaters in Italy, France and Switzerland. His most frequent subjects are flowers, fruit and still lifes, which have brought him widespread fame.
The painting in question is an example of particular quality in the production of still lifes inspired by antiquity.

The work is in good condition. Of note are slight and natural signs of aging.
