Workers and an arch over a Lagoon in Venice, Italy. Oil on canvas, not signed, in a black decorative frame, overall 19" x 21 ¼". An almost identical painting by the artist resides in the Villa Cagnola art collection, housed in the historic Gazzada residence of the Cagnola family. A photo of the strikingly similar Guardi painting is found in the book, Francesco Guardi 1712-1793 by Alberto Craievich and Filippo Pedrocco, published by Skira, 2012, please see additional photos for this image.

Condition: Painting was previously over-cleaned especially in the sky, some surface soils, relined. Some small areas of inpainting along the right side.
