Francesco Spicuzza Oil Painting, Early Autumn Landscape

Francesco J. Spicuzza (Wisconsin, 1883-1962) impressionistic oil on canvas laid down on board landscape painting depicting a body of water surrounded by trees and undergrowth with early autumn foliage, a cabin visible in the background beneath a cloudy grey sky. Signed "Spicuzza" lower right. Possible auction tag affixed en verso. Gilt metal placard with artist's name and dates affixed lower center of liner. Housed in a carved giltwood frame with an off-white linen liner and a giltwood fillet. Sight: 13 1/2" H x 19 1/2" W. Framed: 20 1/4" H x 26 1/4" W. Provenance: Estate of Carl Klein, Brentwood, TN.
Condition Report: Overall very good condition. Frame with minor areas of loss, abrasions.
