Francesco Toraldo (1960) - Sails competition

[ translate ]

Francesco Toraldo was born in Catanzaro in 1960.

In 1974 he enrolled at the art school in Catanzaro, where he attended only one year, however it was in his father Enzo's studio - also a painter - that he learned the fundamental rules of color which allowed him to make his debut with his first oil paintings. His first exhibitions were in the eighties in Genoa, Rome and Lecce.

| MULTIPLE HAND RETOUCHED |

Work dimensions 70x130 cm

The edition is limited to 150 copies, each of which is different from the other and as they are retouched by hand, they may have very slight variations in color.

Beautiful multiple work made on cardboard which allows the frame to be mounted without the glass.
Silkscreen by Maestro Francesco Toraldo in which the influence of American Abstract Expressionism, in particular Pollock and action painting, is evident in his style. In the production of his works we can detect a very strong gestural component that leads him to fill the surfaces forming a chaotic vortex of colours. Finally, from this vortex emerges the figuration, the subject of the canvas, which blends harmoniously.

N. B. The work does not include a frame, the last photo is purely demonstrative.
