"Alice Hawthorn" was the winner of forty-seven and a half races, including seventeen Cups and eighteen Queen's Plates. "Foig-a-Ballagh" was foaled in Ireland in 1841. He won the Grand Duke Michael Stakes and the Cesarewitch, and was the first Irish bred horse to win the St. Leger Stakes.
