Francis Upritchard, New Zealand b.1976- Blue Lions, 2006; two glazed ceramics, each 15x51cm (2) Provenance: Kate MacGarry Gallery, London, where purchased by the present owner in 2004. Note: Francis Upritchard is a British-based multi-media artist from New Zealand. Her work draws on a range of diverse artistic influences and traditions, creating installations using a variety of materials, including glass, textiles, and ceramics. Upritchard’s work has been exhibited across the world, including at the Barbican Centre, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, the Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, Japan, and at the Venice Biennale.
