Condition Report: Pet squirrel: Lined canvas. Minor frame abrasion at edges. Extremely faint stretcher bar marks visible at edges. Yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. Under UV: heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly, somewhat obscuring the picture surface. Considerable but very finely applied retouching to address craquelure appears below the varnish layer. Family in the garden: Lined canvas. Minor frame abrasion visible at edges. Yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure throughout, with a few scattered instances of more pronounced cracking. A small dot of loss in upper left quadrant, and one below center of right edge. Minor surface dust. Under UV: heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly, somewhat obscuring the picture surface. Extensive but very fine retouching applied to address craquelure, and strengthening applied to shadows, particularly in the folds of the clothing of the seated mother and the frontmost little girl at left. Strengthening applied to the mother's dark veil, and the the foliage directly behind the head of the seated woman at right. A few additional pinpoints of retouching scattered throughout.
