Francisco Zuniga Mexican Two Ladies Pastel, Costa Rican born Mexican artist Jose Jesus Francisco Zuniga Chavarria, 1912-1998, pastel on colored paper, 18.675 x 24.75 inches visible within frame, 23.375 x 29.375 x 1 inch overall framed, signed lower right and dated 1974. Silvered and paint decorated frame molding. Provenance: One of nine lots in this sale personally removed from a Palm Beach County, Florida downsizing retiree home. CX MDL5
Condition Report: Clean, no visible damage save for there is one very small light brown spot under the left figure that may be foxing or stray pigment, not examined out of frame, scattered paint wear to frame. Also note in angular lighting a light undulation of the paper can be observed at the edges that is often a positive sign typically indicating a work has not been laid down.
