Second ed. of this commemorative work (1st ed. 1623 by Mommaert) on the obsequies for Albert VII, Archduke of Austria (1559-1621), governor of the Spanish Netherlands. Text in Latin, French, Dutch and Spanish by the humanistic historian Puteanus (1574-1646). Title in red and black, with woodcut vignette. Illustrated, in addition to the engr. double-paged title, with all 65 large double-paged pl. (of which 2 fold.), by Cornelis Galle, after Jacques Francquart (still dated 1623), depicting the funeral procession, the carriage, the coffin and the 675 nobles and magistrates, all provided with name and title, participating in the procession. This later ed. also includes an engr. of the catafalque erected for Isabella, Albert II’s widow, not yet included in first ed. Enriched with an additional, large, folding, news print "Imago currus in exequiis serenissimi et potentissimi Alberti VII", made of two copper pl., of the float in the funeral procession, signed J.
