Biography: Frans Erkelens 1937. Frans Erkelens was born in 1937 in Bandung, Indonesia. In 1960 he graduated cum laude from the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in The Hague. After winning the Esso artprize he started his career as a surrealist painter. Erkelens considers himself to be an “archaic-realist” artist. His goal is to bridge cultural differences on a spiritual level. Painting comes from a private collection and is in good condition. Mixed media on painter's cardboard. Can be picked up in Vlaardingen.
