Note by the artist on verso: Questo quadro è mio, Franz Borghese This historical work by Borghese comes from the estate of the painter and gallery owner Pietro Bellomo (1936 - 2018) . He was a lifelong friend of Franz Borghese and organised his international exhibitions until 1978. At the time, Bellomo had the exclusive rights to sell Borghese's works in Germany and was also responsible for printing Borghese's prints. By 1978, Bellomo had acquired a number of paintings, drawings and prints from the artist. The works of this historical estate were not previously on the art market. The painting comes with an original declaration of ownership of the heirs
