Frascarolo Enamel, gem set and diamond belt, 1970s
The clasp designed as a red enamelled lion with pear-shaped emerald eyes, the snout decorated with black enamel and single-cut diamonds, to green and black enamelled links of foliate design accented by cultured pearls, length approximately 760mm, unsigned, Italian maker's mark for Frascarolo.
Condition Report:
Unsigned. Italian maker's mark for Frascarolo. Additionally marked MADE ITALY and MODELE DEPOSE CC. Stamped 18KT and 750 for 18 carat gold. Emeralds slightly bluish green of medium saturation, moderately included, chips. Cultured pearls of white bodycolour with green and rosé overtones, pitting and wrinkled skins to some examples, with good lustre. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.30 - 0.40 carat, on average I-J colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Areas of loss and rubbing to the enamel. Scratches to the metal consistent with normal wear. In good condition overall. Width approximately 40mm, width of clasp approximately 60mm. Gross weight approximately 303 grams.
