The statue is solid bronze on a marble base with a plaque that reads "Dedicated to Henry Dearborn Secretary of War 1904." This statue was designed by the artist Frederic Remington (1861-1909). "Remington  was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in depictions of the American Old West, specifically concentrating on scenes from the last quarter of the 19th century in the Western United States and featuring images of cowboys, American Indians, and the U.S. Cavalry, among other figures from Western culture." Sculpture measures 13.5" L x 8" W x 24" H.
