Vase features a quote from William Shakespeare's The Tempest. Incised signature to underside 'Rhead Weller Faience'. Inscribed to shoulder 'Full fathom five my father lies...Those are pearls that were his eyes. Sea nymphs hourly ring his knell.... Hark! Now I hear them - ding dong bell'.
