Ceratarges aries freestanding secondary spines Fossil 3D Trilobite. Unique display! Devonian. Zireg, Anti-Atlas Mountains, Morocco. Restoration details: Residual - Around 30% of the very small secondary pygidial spines where reconstructed. They were missing as a result of the quarrying work. Reconstruction for aesthetic reasons is a natural situation, acceptable in residual proportions, like this. The rest of it is natural and didn't suffered any the restoration. A rarely offered trilobite. The species has recently been described (Van Viersen, A. & Prescher, H. , 2011) and is one of the rarest species of Morocco. Our second-to-none freestanding displayed trilobites are a product of careful and laborious very skilled work of dozens (sometimes hundreds) of laboratory hours, just accessible to very few people in all the world. Dimensions: Specimen: 4,0 x 4,9 cm; Matrix: 9,0 x 7,1 cm. Finding locality: Zireg, Anti-Atlas Mountains, Morocco. Taxonomy - Species: Ceratarges aries; Family: Lichidae. Order: Lichida.
