Description
French Artillery Officer's Sword, First Empire, Early 19th century. A beautiful steel blade with a slight bend, two fullers on each side. The blade is etched on both sides to imitate the pattern of Damascus steel. Brass hilt with artillery symbols, wooden handle covered with leather and entwined with wire. Original leather sheath with brass fittings. A beautiful Napoleonic saber for collecting. Length 109 cm.
