French Bisque Bebe by Jumeau.

This 19" (49cm) unusual doll with red stamp on back of head "DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU 8", and although the markings are not unusual, this particular portrayal has smooth and even yet sunburnt looking complexion with contrasting bright blue deep paperweight eyes and was affectionately referred to by some of the older collectors as a "Gypsy Jumeau". She comes with a brown wig, and is on the original fully jointed wood and composition body with a stamp on back torso reading "Bebe Jumeau Bte SGDG Depose". The body is in overall good condition, with perhaps some old and well done repaint to the lower arms and hands. The costume is made of all antique fabrics with fine laces and pink inserted silk ribbons and bows, antique underwear with the original brown leather shoes stamped on the soul "8 Paris Depose" with the familiar bumble bee logo also impressed. Although original, the shoes have some typical age wear. The bonnet is made of lavender velvet with fine lace high brim and cloth flowers. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 20" x 8" x 4".
