French Bronze Hour Repeater Carriage Clock

French carriage clock has a 2.5 in. porcelain dial with black hour numerals and sub alarm, day and date calendar dials. French brass spring driven movement signed "Dent, France 1474" has a platform lever escapement, half hour bell strike with hour repeater button on top of the case and has an alarm mechanism. In a fine gilt bronze case with pierced decorated filigree, hinged handle, winged maiden's heads and claw feet; beveled glass panels on the front, back and sides, exposing the escapement through the glass top. In good overall condition, runs, strikes, alarm is not working. Dimensions: 7 in. high x 4.75 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep. Weight: 5.75 lbs.
