fourth quarter 19th century, in the Sevres taste, the cover decorated with a hand-painted panel of the goddess Veritas, attended by an angel, on a cobalt ground and signed "A. Collot", the sides with gilt decoration, the bottom with spurious Sevres marks.

Condition Report: In overall good condition. There is rubbing and oxidation to the ormolu mounts and some light rubbing to gilt decoration. There is an older professional repair at one end of the lid. The latch barely engages. Interior dirty.
