French Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock
A French bronze and red marble mantel clock with Clotho, one of the three Fates on the top. Clotho is holding the spools of thread that are used to spin the lives of all mortals according to Greek mythology. The face of the clock has a porcelain dial with Roman numerals. The clock is made by Victor Palillard and Roman, circa 1870. The movement has a medal award but it is illegible. The movement is not signed, serial no ND1638.
Dimensions are: 25 inches tall X 13 5/8 inches wide X 7 3/4 inches deep, 63.5 cm X 34.61 cm X 19.69 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The pendulum and the bell for the chime is missing, not tested. Some chipping to the marble base and the bronze has minor age wear.
