French vase clock with matching candlesticks. Beautiful porcelain, French clock set with a vase model with a romantic representation of a lady on the grass releasing birds from a birdcage. On one of the candlesticks, the woman is again displayed next to a tree with a beautiful dress. The other candlestick shows a man, also with nice clothes. The scene resembles a romantic encounter with a man and woman in a clearing in the forest. Five candles can be placed in each of the candlesticks. The candleholder in the middle has a candle extinguisher. The clock dates from the late 19th century. The painting on the porcelain was done by E. Thomas, he signed the clock. The vase and candlestick are richly decorated with sculpted flower branches and flower buds. Under the porcelain vase of the clock and candlesticks, the name Dostal is visible. The dial is decorated with a harp, a gold ring with stones and floral motifs and is completely intact. Through the harp and gold ring an arrow, which could mean that it was a wedding gift. The movement is completely cleaned and oiled and is in very good condition. The clock strikes every half hour and hour on the bell, which gives a very beautiful sound. Height of the clock and candlesticks is about 60 cm, photos are part of the advertisement. Pick up is preferred, in Bleiswijk, South Holland.
